This print was done towards the end of his art career and life, reflecting on the freedoms he had in life and the pressures (captivity) of designing over 200 costumes for Harper Bazzar & Vogue Magazines plus countless movie and theatre sets for famous Hollywood films.
Most famous for his Art Deco alphabet and numerical sets that took over 40 years to create, he always saw his work transcending the Art Deco style in timeless imagery.
