Description
This piece is about returning to Broome after World War II had ended and the Japanese invasion in north Western Australia. It was painted from the wood of the table in the military’s Mess hall, no longer needed.
When signing the painting it was the last painting to be signed ‘Durack’ and used her full name going forward.
